Strapit

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains, in plain words, what personal information Strapit collects when you use strapit.co.in, why we collect it, who sees it, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. We follow India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the DPDP Rules, 2025. Under that law, Strapit is the “Data Fiduciary”: we decide why and how your data is used.

Who we are

Strapit is a bag manufacturer based in New Delhi (GSTIN 07DZZPA7399H1ZG). Branch office: AB-100, Amar Puri, Paharganj, New Delhi 110055.

What we collect, and why

  • Quote and contact forms: your name, company name, phone number, email address, bag type, quantity and message. We use these only to reply to your enquiry, prepare a quotation and follow up on it.
  • Orders on our shop: your name, delivery and billing address, phone number, email address and order details. We use these to take payment, pack and ship your order, send order updates, issue invoices and handle returns and refunds.
  • Payments: payments are handled by third-party payment providers. Your card, UPI or bank details go to them directly. We do not see or store them. We only receive a confirmation that the payment succeeded or failed.
  • Account and reviews: if you create an account or write a review, we keep your name, email and the review you post. We may email you once after delivery to invite a review.
  • Website usage data: cookies and similar tools record things like pages visited, device and browser type. We use them to keep the cart working, keep the site secure and understand which pages are useful. Non-essential cookies (analytics, advertising) are used only if you accept them.

We collect only what is needed for these purposes. We do not sell your personal data.

Your consent

We ask for your consent, in clear words, when you submit a form or place an order. Where the law allows us to use data without consent (for example, keeping tax invoices, or meeting a legal duty), we say so. You can withdraw your consent at any time, and withdrawing it must be as easy as giving it. Just call or WhatsApp us or use the contact form. After you withdraw, we stop using your data for that purpose, though we may keep records that the law requires. Withdrawal does not affect anything done before it.

Who we share your data with

  • Courier and logistics partners, who need your name, address and phone number to deliver.
  • Payment providers, who process your payment.
  • Website, email and hosting providers that help us run the site and send messages.
  • Government or courts, if the law requires it.

These providers may use your data only to serve us and must protect it. Some of them may store data on servers outside India. We do not share your data for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected. Enquiry data is kept for up to 12 months after our last contact with you. Order, invoice and payment records are kept for the period required by tax and accounting laws. Once data is no longer needed, we delete it or make it anonymous. If you have not used your account or bought from us for 3 years, we will delete the account data after giving you at least 48 hours’ notice, unless the law requires us to keep it.

How we protect it

We use reasonable security safeguards, such as secure (HTTPS) connections, password-protected admin access, security monitoring and limiting access to only the staff who need it. If a data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires, describing what happened and what you can do.

Children

Our website is meant for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal data of anyone under 18 without a parent or lawful guardian’s verified consent, and we do not track or profile children or show them targeted advertising. If you think a child has given us data, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can:

  • ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it is used, and who we have shared it with;
  • ask us to correct wrong data, complete incomplete data or update old data;
  • ask us to erase your data (unless we must keep it by law);
  • withdraw your consent at any time;
  • make a complaint about how we handle your data;
  • nominate another person to exercise these rights for you if you die or become unable to do so.

To use any of these rights, contact us as shown below. We will respond within 30 days at the most.

Complaints and grievance contact

Please raise any concern with us first. Contact the Grievance Contact, Strapit, on +91 85071 38430 (call or WhatsApp) or through our contact form, giving your name, the phone number or email you used with us, and what you want us to do. We will acknowledge within 3 working days and try to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational (details at meity.gov.in).

Cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop the cart and checkout from working.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top. If a change is important, we will tell you in advance.
